Rosemary Jensen Bible Foundation

Equiping people with the Word of God.

The grass withers, and the flower falls,
but the word of the Lord remains forever.

1 Peter 1:24

The Rosemary Jensen Bible Foundation (RJBF) was started in 2017 as a Christian non-profit (501c3) organization registered in the State of Florida and managed by a board of directors. Founder and President is Rosemary Jensen who over sixty years developed partnerships with twenty-six evangelical denominations in Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Nigeria, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia. These denominations have seminaries, churches, and schools.

The goal of RJBF is to use the relationships between the denominations and the RJBF to promote teaching and preaching the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ in churches and schools by giving good study Bibles to seminary students, pastors, schoolteachers, and schoolchildren. The Rafiki Foundation cooperates with RJBF in shipping the Bibles to Africa. Since 2017, Crossway’s Systematic Theology Study Bibles have been given to 20,000 pastors. Ligonier Ministries’ Reformation Study Bibles have been given to 18,000 seminary students and will be provided for new students until 2027. Now RJBF is concentrating on giving Bibles to teachers and students in twenty-three Partner Denominations who use Rafiki’s Christian Education System in their schools.

There are thousands of schools in the ten English-speaking countries in Africa where Rafiki and RJBF work, but few hardback ESV Bibles are available and even plain paperback Bibles are too expensive for most to purchase. Almost no homes with children have Bibles. Every school that wants these Bibles has at least 500 students.

The plan is to raise necessary funds to give Bibles to:

  • Teachers in Rafiki Village schools and in Partner Denomination schools

  • Children who have been taught to read in these schools. They will receive three Bibles published by Crossway Publishers (Holy Bible for Kids given at grade 3, Following Jesus Bible given at grade 6, Student Bible given at graduation)

By God’s grace, the Rosemary Jensen Bible Foundation can place an appropriate Bible in the hands of every preacher, every teacher, and every student in a Partner Denomination school – literally millions of hands. This could change the future of Africa.
